Story

Project futures and Raw travel have created a 400km bike trip travelling through Cambodia and Laos raising money for the Somaly Mam Foundation.

What is this all about you might ask!

The Somaly Mam Foundation rescue and rehabilitate those who have been sold into the sex trafficking industry while also creating awareness to put an end to sex trafficking and human slavery.

So why are we telling you all this?

The Somaly Mam Foundation needs ongoing funds to be able to continue with the amazing work they do to support the shelters where survivors reclaim their lives and also work towards rescuing those who have been left behind in slavery.

We have taken on the challenge to raise funds and awareness for this amazing organisation and also plan to slap on the lycra and bike helmets and peddle around Laos and Cambodia in December which will be an experience of a life time and where we will be fortunate to travel with other like minded people and visit the The Somaly Mam foundation shelters.

So what can you do?

You can come and visit us any Saturday at St Andrews Market and either drop of your unwanted books or bits and pieces for us to raise funds with or you can just come and say G'day.

(Plus you never know what interesting things you will find on the stall - Such as a copy of  "The Road to Lost Innocence - Somaly Mam"  for only $26.00, which we highly recommend )

If you can't make it to St Andrews - Never fear you can just donate on our Go Fundraise page with the assurance that you are helping to support a worthwhile cause.

Still unsure?

What ever you do, please do something as awareness is the first step to bringing about change.
