The FUTURES Cycle is an annual bike ride through South East Asia in support of the Somaly Mam Foundation and FESIP and their work to tackle sexual slavery of women and children. Riders embark on a 550km cycle through various rural owns to bustling cities and challenge not only their physical stamina, but more importantly their mind, body and soul whilst learning about the issue of sex slavery, meeting survivors, visiting shelters, raising funds and their own awareness level of the cause.
The FUTURES ’11 Cycle will begin in Pakse, a sleepy town of Southern Laos and end in the tourist capital of Cambodia, Siem Reap, amid the majestic temples of Angkor Wat. Please support our riders by donating what you can, as they commit to a this challenge and step out of their comfort zone to raise a minimum of $7,000 for a global humanitarian issue facing so many men, women and children today.
This year's FUTURES '11 cycle challenge is fully booked, but to find out more about the ride and what's involved or to register your interest for next year, please email cycle@projectfutures.com
